Terms of Use
How this site and the diagnostic can be used.
Last updated 24 May 2026
These terms govern your use of the Threshold website and the AI Readiness Diagnostic. They cover what the diagnostic is and is not, the scope of any information the site provides, and the legal arrangements that apply.
About these terms
By using this website or the AI Readiness Diagnostic, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. These terms are governed by the laws of the Dubai International Financial Centre, where Threshold is registered. Any dispute arising from these terms is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the DIFC Courts.
What this site is
The Threshold website is an informational and contact surface for a boutique AI governance firm. It describes the firm's approach, model, working session, and outputs. Nothing on this site constitutes legal advice, regulatory advice, financial advice, or a binding professional opinion. Engagements with Threshold are governed by a separate letter of engagement signed between Threshold and the client institution.
The AI Readiness Diagnostic
The diagnostic is a self-assessment tool designed to help leadership teams understand their institution's current AI governance posture across six dimensions. It is provided complimentary to use, on the terms set out below.
Self-assessed, not audited. All responses are self-reported by the person completing the diagnostic. Threshold does not verify, audit, or independently confirm any response. The resulting score reflects what was entered, not an external review of the institution's actual posture.
Informational, not certification. The diagnostic report is informational. It is not a certification of AI governance maturity, not a statement of regulatory compliance, and not a guarantee that any institution would withstand regulatory scrutiny based on the score reflected.
No representation of compliance. Threshold makes no representation, express or implied, that completing the diagnostic, achieving any specific score, or following any guidance derived from the diagnostic ensures compliance with UAE PDPL, Saudi PDPL, Qatar PDPPL, Oman PDPL, EU AI Act, NIST AI Risk Management Framework, ISO/IEC 42001, or any other regulatory framework referenced in the tool. Achieving regulatory compliance requires institution-specific legal review, which the diagnostic does not replace.
Regulatory framings. Where the diagnostic references specific regulatory anchors (such as DHA, MoHAP, SDAIA, SFDA, NIST, or others), the framings are descriptive interpretations of publicly available regulatory positions as of the date the framings were drafted. Regulations evolve; institutions should consult the underlying primary source and qualified counsel for definitive interpretation.
Intellectual property
All content on this site, including the Threshold name, the Threshold Model, the AI Readiness Diagnostic, the framings, the methodology, and the visual design, is the intellectual property of Threshold. You may share links to the site or to the diagnostic. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of the content without prior written consent from Threshold. Diagnostic outputs (including the PDF report generated for your institution) may be retained and used for your institution's internal purposes.
Limitation of liability
The site and the diagnostic are provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied. Threshold makes no warranty about the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or fitness for any particular purpose of the content. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Threshold shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site or the diagnostic, including any decisions taken on the basis of the diagnostic output.
External links
The site may include references to external regulators, frameworks, and third-party resources. Threshold does not control these and is not responsible for their content, accuracy, or availability. Referencing a regulator or framework does not constitute endorsement of that body's positions.
Data handling
How Threshold collects, uses, retains, and protects your data is set out in our privacy notice. By using the site or the diagnostic, you also agree to the terms of that notice.
Changes to these terms
Threshold may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
