Terms of Use
How this site can be used.
Last updated 27 August 2026
These terms govern your use of the Threshold website. They cover what this site is and is not, the scope of any information the site provides, and the legal arrangements that apply.
About these terms
By using this website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. These terms are governed by the laws of the Dubai International Financial Centre, where Threshold is registered. Any dispute arising from these terms is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the DIFC Courts.
What this site is
The Threshold website is an informational and contact surface for an AI governance firm. It describes the firm's approach, the Threshold Assessment, and its outputs. Nothing on this site constitutes legal advice, regulatory advice, financial advice, or a binding professional opinion. Engagements with Threshold are governed by a separate letter of engagement signed between Threshold and the client institution.
The Threshold Assessment
The Threshold Assessment is an institutional engagement conducted by Threshold with the institution under a written scope. The website describes the Assessment and its method; it does not itself perform an assessment or issue an assessment conclusion.
Not certification. An Assessment report is not a certification of AI governance maturity, not a statement of regulatory compliance, and not independent assurance.
No representation of compliance. Threshold makes no representation, express or implied, that commissioning an Assessment or following any guidance in a report will satisfy the requirements of any regulator, auditor, or governing body. Responsibility for regulatory compliance rests with the institution.
Regulatory references. Where Threshold references specific regulatory instruments, the references are descriptive rather than determinative. Where applicability requires legal interpretation, the question is recorded for the institution and its counsel to resolve. Threshold does not provide legal advice.
Intellectual property
All content on this site, including the Threshold name, the Threshold Assessment, the Threshold Assessment Method, and the visual design, is the intellectual property of Threshold. You may share links to the site. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of the content without prior written consent from Threshold. Assessment outputs supplied to an institution may be retained and used for its institution's internal purposes.
Limitation of liability
The site is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied. Threshold makes no warranty about the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or fitness for any particular purpose of the content. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Threshold shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, this site.
External links
The site may include references to external regulators, frameworks, and third-party resources. Threshold does not control these and is not responsible for their content, accuracy, or availability. Referencing a regulator or framework does not constitute endorsement of that body's positions.
Data handling
How Threshold collects, uses, retains, and protects your data is set out in our privacy notice. Our privacy notice explains how Threshold handles personal data.
Changes to these terms
Threshold may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
